need some unbiased opinions

    I want to attend a Christian college. The problem I have is that I can't attend accept on nights. I work a fulltime job and unless God makes the provision for me to quit, I could only attend after work.

    My question is: Are there any colleges, universities, institutes, etc. that have evening classes in Northern, Central North Carolina.

    I've checked with Piedmont Baptist College www.mai.edu/ I've also checked into a local college www.carolinabaptistcollege.com
    I have a friend who is taking the distance learner program from Liberty University www.liberty.edu/admissions/distance/index.cfm
    There are also two local Bible institutes but they don't have websites.

    My question is what do you think of these and do you have any more suggestions for other colleges, etc. that offer evening classes. Is an institute as good as a college?

    I will say that I would only care for Conservative, Fundamental, missionary conscious schools. I know one of the colleges that I've provided the link for is KJV only. I am not, so that isn't a big deal.

    I just want to get more grounded in the history and original languages of the Bible.
    And I feel that the Lord is leading me into missions and from what I've seen, you have to attend Bible College to get on most missions boards.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I have heard many favorable things about Liberty University's program. The cost is very reasonable and the reputation is good also.

    I'll second Liberty. I earned 18 credits toward my M.Div. through their extension program. You cna earn your entire degree at home, and spend a couple of summers onw-week intensive courses at Lynchburg.

    Also check out Southeastern Baptist College (on the campus of Southeastern Seminary). I'm sure they have night/weekend courses.

    I am a 1988 graduate of Piedmont and highly recommend the school. The school has an excellent faculty (many profs I had are still there) and they have a strong missions emphasis.

    I would also recomend Andersonville Baptist Seminary. It's all correspondance, they are fundmental and some of the instructors are stuck on the KJV but don't require you be. I have talked to several people who have taken courses from them and were very pleased. One pastor I talked to got his M.DIV there after finishing at what is now BCF. His opinion was that the quality of both were very compareable. I have taken a few classes but lack any ohter frame of reference yet.
