The priest and the Levite were afraid of defiling themselves, and becoming unclean and disqualifying themselves from the work of the Temple, so they left the victim to die on one side of the road. They lost sight of the weightier matters. But a certain Samaritan . . .

And so you #NeverTrump folks will ride this train to the bridge that is out and die in a crumpled heap at the bottom of the gorge, for the same reason.

The point is defeating Hillary at all costs, because life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness lie in the balance.

Carson sees it.

Cruz can only win if he stops attacking Trump, and goes after Hillary, illegals, the press, and Obama the same way Trump has, and to drop the Washingtonspeak. "The American people deserve . . . The taxpayers deserve . . . I kept my promises . . . blah, blah, blah."

No one cares.

He's got to get dirty, because the enemy will stop at nothing. Lincoln had to make the decision to go after civilians in the Civil War to bring it to an end.

 

Let up? Cruz is a wimp. Cruz needs to fight and fight the right enemy. Trump ain't the enemy.

The parable reveals a universal trait of human behavior. You don't think the Priest and Levite would have helped the victim if their standards of holiness could have been maintained?

Yet in thinking they are doing God a service, they would let their neighbor perish.

So do many on this board. You know Trump can defeat Hillary despite the polls. You know Trump is patriotic. You know that despite his sins (which can never rival Clinton's), he is 110% better than Clinton, Bush, Rubio or Obama, and you reject him because he isn't a saint? You will let America be irretrievably damaged because of your sensitivities?

Where is the oft-repeated mantra, "Why expect sinners to be saints?" Oh. Excuse me. That's only employed when we're defending one's own favorite sinner.

But the long and the short of it is this, that which hangs in the balance is not in sight of the #NeverTrump slaves, and if it is, they value their pottage more than their liberty.

I'll take Trump or Cruz. Cruz might be a slicker politician, but he won't draw the base. And Ann Coulter is right. Once the press gets their hooks in Cruz, he's done.

 

What makes you better judges than say, Carson?

 

Cruz will not defeat Hillary, but again, you aren't considering what is at stake. But maybe you like Socialism. I dunno, maybe you're a government employee. You and Rolfe tend to take the comfortable routes in all discussions, whether it's origins, state infringement on religious liberty, reports of state-sanctioned persecution, and the list goes on.

I doubt very seriously you have even been affected by many of the issues facing this nation, or even the church. You strike me as being one insulated from the issues, fooled into thinking that your rights aren't hanging by a thread.

I face broken families, dysfunctional parents, family cults, victims of violence. I walk with people taking the Gospel to the inner city, prostitutes, drug addicts, etc. I've worked with Jordanian, Iraqi, Russian, Asian, and Mexican immigrants. LEGAL immigrants.

They and I see what is going on. But you close your eyes to it. Trump isn't the issue. Not with them that support him. The issue is this nation and your liberties. You fiddle while Rome burns, and you're content to blame the Christians for it.

 

It's not an appeal to authority, you amateur. Your posts are easily rebutted with cursory internet searches, because cursory internet searches and talk radio are your sources of information.

What is the rule of best evidence? Do you know? In the case of the Kennedy assassination, do you think Oliver Stone presented the best evidence by the Zapruder film? If you have to determine the truth of an event, which would be better evidence? A grainy 8mm film or the coroner's report? The coroner's report. Why? Because he handled the body. He performed a detailed examination.

So, when judging someone's character, what is the best evidence? InTheLie's opinions based on film clips and biased and leftist propaganda? Or a reputable neurosurgeon who has walked and talked with him?

So I ask again, why should your judgement be considered more accurate than his?
