New Bush-Era Torture Memo Released, Raises Questions About What Has Changed And What

Oh boy, this surely is opening a can of worms.

A six-year-old memo from within the George W. Bush administration that came to light this week acknowledges that White House-approved interrogation techniques amounted to "war crimes." The memo's release has called attention to what has changed since President Barack Obama took office, but it also raises questions about what hasn't.

The Bush White House tried to destroy every copy of the memo, written by then-State Department counselor Philip Zelikow. Zelikow examined tactics like waterboarding -- which simulates drowning -- and concluded that there was no way they were legal, domestically or internationally.

From th OP article:

"Most alarming, says Jafeer, is the issue of the targeted killing of American citizens who are terrorism suspects."

Of course only Obama has done this.

And no one died from waterboarding under Bush.

Here's the Can of Worms...

...so what. We have never been safer, and it was due to the methods Bush used to keep the terrorist in their own backyards.

I think that the can of worms that Crabby is subconsciously worried about is the fact that Obama has not pulled back from anything that Bush did here but has only expanded it.

He instictively knows that this can't be good for "the one" either.

emphasis mine

The only thing that CAN be good for this yo-yo is the total blind allegiance from his "HIS"* followers!!!
(Certainly not his record, or honesty, or foreign/domestic policies, or yada, yada, yada!!)

Is this just another of Crabby's drive by threads?

Or is he going to contribute to the discussion in some way?

Lets see - Libs say we are not to practice water boarding, (Crab - please link a source as to how many died from that).

Since Obama hates torture and extreme suffering, It appears he may change his opinion on Abortion? Right?
