New Chick Booklet Out

I am not impressed. I wonder how much of it is factual and how much is simply his personal beliefs. Also, the part about the Bible is cute. He forgot to mention that the text underlying the KJV NT was compiled by a Roman Catholic. Some people's hypocrisy shows no bounds. While I don't agree with the Catholic church, I think there is a better way to go about approaching them than this. One is to start out with hard-core facts, not half-truths and personal views of what happened throughout history.

And he could be read as implying that Jesus is the offspring of the Great Whore.

Jack Chick went la-la a long time ago. He has no credibility with me. Too bad because his tracts used to be effective. I used to use them a lot. Talk about Satan's plans! Satan got Chick to be consumed with anti-Roman Catholic hatred and KJVO nonsense to move him to the lunatic fringe. Both of Chick's obsessions were neatly combined in this tract.

In trying to fight Roman Catholicism he actually joined it - he abandoned iconoclasm. In otherwords, he depicts Jesus and God (and of course Jesus is God) in his cartoons. It's kind of hard to make a cartoon about how the RCC is breaking Exo 20:4 when that very cartoon is breaking it!

 

Jack Chick's a bigoted moron. (IMHO of course )

So do you think that having an image is sin, or would you agree that a person must have that image for the reason of worshipping it for it to be sin?

 

What I'd like to know is what Bible he thinks was taken up into the 'hills'. I mean, if the Bible that the CC had was twisted and contorted and published (the most widely distributed Book in the History of the World), WHAT Bible is it that HE used to come to his conclusions?

As a converted RC I have to say I find all these Chick tracts pathetic. I very much doubt if any RC would come to the truth through reading this rubbish.

IMO these tracts damage the genuine witness of Christians and do more harm than good.

Ole chick hit the nail on the head again. Thank God someone still tells it like it is. When Catholics wake up from the state of denial they are in, They'll see it too, but sadly many people even after seeing the sex abuse scandels still believe The RCC is a sweet little virgin...

Now - are you saying that just because the RCC and the ancients worshipped a human that they then called "the Queen of Heaven" - that this makes the RCC wrong?

Do you mean that just because they made up the system of purgatory and indulgences - that just the fact of making that up is an error that makes the RCC wrong?

Are you really going to claim that just because they pray to the dead that this shows the church to have slipped into some spiritism error over time?

Or are you saying that just because millions were killed by her in the dark ages - that this makes that church wrong?

I just don't get it.

Now what if we focus on Jack Chick's problems instead - I wonder how they compare. He seems like a pretty bad guy to me.

Chick tracts were instramental in MY conversion from the CULT of Independent Fundamental Baptists that I was involved in so YES they can and are and will be instrumental in the conversion of souls for Jesus.

God CAN and WILL use EVERY person who has a heart to reach souls for Him, to do JUST THAT.

As you already know, because I have told you before that sometimes the truth is not nice to hear, but praise God for Jack Chick's boldness in teaching the Truth that God has given Him.

Some of his tracts are totally anti Sabbath, but even I have to admit that what he is doing is for the Kingdom of God.

THAT should not be mocked folks.

I would hardly call spreading falsehoods (Bible part), half-truths, and speculations (some of the 'history' he reports) "hitting the nail on the head" or doing God's work. I call it being deceitful and twisting the truth.
