Encourages everyone to only use terms like "Church of Jesus Christ" and "the restored gospel of Jesus Christ":

"'The Lord has impressed upon my mind the importance of the name He has revealed for His Church, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,' President Nelson said in a statement....A style guide released by the church alongside the statement said, 'Please avoid using the abbreviation 'LDS' or the nickname 'Mormon' as substitutes for the name of the Church'"

Instruction to Journalists

"the full name of the Church is preferred: 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.'"

"The full name was given by revelation from God to Joseph Smith in 1838."

"When a shortened reference is needed, the terms 'the Church' or the 'Church of Jesus Christ' are encouraged. The 'restored Church of Jesus Christ' is also accurate and encouraged."

"please avoid using the abbreviation 'LDS' or the nickname 'Mormon' as substitutes for the name of the Church"

"The term 'Mormonism' is inaccurate and should not be used. When describing the combination of doctrine, culture and lifestyle unique to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the term 'the restored gospel of Jesus Christ' is accurate and preferred."

When was the church ever restored or the gospel?... Joseph Smith didn't restore the church or the gospel of Jesus Christ it was never lost to restore... He just started his own and a gospel to go with it!... Brother Glen:)

The deity of Jesus Christ Is compromised and in reality denied.
The traditional doctrine of the Trinity is denied.

Regardless of the name used, still not of Jesus!

Them and some word of faith agree, as both groups would see us becoming as gods!

references to what Apostles, prophets and the scriptures have said about the name of the Church

When the Resurrected Christ ministered to the Nephites, as recorded in 3 Nephi 27:3, His disciples were gathered together and asked Him, "Lord, we will that thou wouldst tell us the name whereby we shall call this church; for there are disputations among the people concerning this matter." “Have they not read the scriptures, which say ye must take upon you the name of Christ, which is my name?” Jesus asked. “For by this name shall ye be called at the last day"
In the Sunday morning session of the April 1979 general conference, President Marion G. Romney, then second counselor in the First Presidency, explained...."Not only did the Redeemer personally name his Church, 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints'....He also declared it to be 'the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased'” (Doctrine and Covenants 1:30).
In 1995, the Church adjusted its logo so that the name of Jesus Christ would become more prominent. This graphic representation was to show the central position of the Savior in the Church's theology
"The Savior's name is the only name under heaven by which man can be saved," then-Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said during general conference in October 2011.
