    The White Mountains...Mt. Washington:

Some incredible weather has taken place up there...The highest wind speed ever recorded (231 MPH).

And in the fall...a gorgeous state...

Ditto the Wite Mountains. But it is a lethal place. I consider myself an experienced climber, and I was caught in a storm on Mt. Jefferson that I could not get out of. I had to wrap myself in a survival blanket, and get down inside the scrub pine and pray to survive. Didn't get much sleep, but now feel sorry for folks who haven't been caught in a severe alpine storm.

Lake Winnepesaukee (sp?) is also spectacular.

Beautiful area. It is breath-taking in the fall with its colors and in the winter with its skiing. The summers are very comfortable and everyone is very friendly there. Mount Washington is an awesome sight.....
