Hey guys. I'm happy to be on the forum. a little background:

1. I have been interested in apologetics since my teen years.
2. My main areas that you will hear me rant/discuss (hopefully just discuss) are:
Open Theism
Partial Preterism
Gynocentricism in the Church
Greek Orthodoxy and Ascetic Christianity
Dangers of Ameri-anity/ materialism
CCM's shift away from singer/songwriters
UFOs (Micheal Heiser's theories)

3. I am an open theist and a partial preterist. Though I am Baptist, I take a very Eastern Orthodox look at many things.
4. I have studied a lot about cults. I probably know too much about the Manson Family.
5. an ESL teacher for 30 years. I speak Mandarin and Japanese.

That's all. All my other faults will come out as we go. ^^

I am an open theist . . . .
I hold what is interpreted as "open theism" are the deliberate self imposed limitations of the Son of God according to the will of God the Father.

All appearances of God are the Son, John 1:18. Genesis 22:12, ". . . now I know . . . ."
Noting Acts of the Apostles 1:7 the reason for Mark 13:32.
Noting John 1:3; John 5:19; John 14:10, the Son of God being the Father's agent of cause.

God being uncaused Existence (Proverbs 21:30), and the Logos being the uncaused Cause of all that God causes, John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-18, Ephesians 3:9; Hebrews 1:2-3.

Wow! Thanks.
How was China? I heard Mexico is really nice. It gets a bad rap, but I've heard it's good.
