Thank you for allowing me to join. Don't know that I will post too much, but I sure have enjoyed reading here since I found this board yesterday. I've been saved for 11 years, but I've sort of been "dormant". I've not been faithful in Bible reading and studying. I'm working towards rectifying that, though. Doesn't do any good to have the keys to the Kingdom if you don't try to follow the road map, right?

I'm 43, I have one husband, one beautiful daughter (almost 9 years old), two dipstick dogs, and about...ohhhh...thirty chickens. And one evil cat who rules over us all.

I truly have enjoyed lurking here, and I'm sure I will post some. Thanks again for letting me join in.

I am so glad you are here, but let me warn you though, if you are not Calvinistic, (and the Cals will test you to see which side you are on).....well, the Cals will ridicule you, call you ignorant, uneducated, heretic, and even unsaved.

But? If you are a Calvinist then you will fit right in:thumbs:

JeepDawg, there is some disagreement here on the BB. You may well need a tough skin if you are going to debate, BUT there are lots of topics to discuss that don't involve controversial topics (if your skin isn't tough and it's not your aim to make it so ;) ).

You know I'm not a Calvinist and that I don't side with them on much, but this is uncalled for in the "Welcome to BaptistBoard.com" forum.

Hey Mrs. JeepDawg, I'm one of those Calvinists. You're welcome here. We're actually pretty nice folks. Oh, I think there's one old grouch around, but he's easy to spot.

Evidently you havent been keeping up with the threads.

Over the past week or so the Cals have absolutely hammered the regular Christians, calling names and questioning salvation.

Me? I am tired of it. I am bowing out of the battle. I am moving to the politics forum and help bash Obama.

(I don't even know the difference between regular Baptist & Calvinist, and right now I don't much care. I just want to surround myself in the Word of God.)

I can't believe that a C/A debate is bubbling up in the Welcome forum....sheesh!!

John, I have much respect for you, and I am on your side much of the time, but you first post was very unnecessary.

Please leave the C/A debate material in the Debate Forum. I am not a mod, and I am not trying to be one, either.


It's almost gotten to the point that we go to a fight on here, and church breaks out. Or is it we go to church, and a fight breaks out? :laugh:

By the way, I am a dedicated calvinist, but I don't think I have ever bashed a variant believer. So, not all calvinists are bashers.
