New KNIGHT RIDER

    Anyone see it? I just watched it on NBC.com last night. Any opinions on whether or not they can start this franchise over?

    With Battlestar Galactica going so strong and now possibly Knight Rider, original producer Glen Larson must be continuing to roll in the dough.

    I saw the movie, and although I grew up and loved the show I didn't think the movie made enough of a splash..

    The mustang was a nice touch... I didn't like the new KITT voice... The new guy (can't remember his name) seems to be missing something... not sure what.

    It was a good movie, predictable like the old show... :) But I think they will have to step it up if they plan on spinning this one off to make it..

    On a funnier note... not!

    I have a 18yo boy living at my home, his parents are abusive and had kicked him out on the streets. So he is living with me to get on his feet.. Well he loves Shelby Mustangs so when the movie came on, I called him down from his room and told him he would like this movie and gave him the background that it was based on the old Knight Rider... And he said.. what? Who? So I continued to fill him in and said that Micheal Knight was David Hasslhoff, and he said who?... Then it dawned on me that he wasn't around for the show... so I said the guy that played on Baywatch.. THEN he knew who I was talking about...

    Man, talking about making you feel old.... :laugh:

    hehe. i'm only 20 years old..

    and i know who david hasselhoff is.. and the old knight rider..

    even some older shows like Sliders, Viper.. man. great shows. =P

    I used to love the old Knight Rider show from the 80s. I may have to check out an episode, but I am sure I will be disappointed. Remakes are rarely as good, or better, than the original IMO.

    I don't know Pastor, I'm digging the new Battlestar Galactica. But you guys are right, the new movie was predictable. I wish KITT had the old voice (William Daniels?) whom later went on to star in Boy Meets World as the teacher/principal Mr. Feeny. Val Kilmer's much-too-subdued voice was more along the lines of Data/Mr. Spock.

    But with a few tweaks, it could be a good show, if they update some of the features. Otherwise, it could be another Bionic Woman dud.

    The Mustang rocked, i thought the show itself with the not to over the top tie ins was pretty good. I could have done without the lesbian FBI agent:BangHead:
