Hello,
I am Amhad Anbal and looking to exchange ideas with the
people that do and receive baptisms.

In general, how much does the baptism cost or does it come
as part of other goods or services purchased?

Also, I have heard that some people receive a new name after
the ceremony that they would use in church functions and it
must be one of the Hebrew names found in Holy Bible.

Welcome to the BB!

Baptism costs nothing, at least it shouldn’t. However, there is a certain prerequisite for baptism.

It is belief (faith) in the death and resurrection of the Christ.

That you know from the core of your heart there is nothing worthy of God’s Grace (unmerited favor) and yet “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” “He became sin for us” yet He “remained without sin.” In that acknowledgement, there is repentance (change) that refocused your life from living for the pleasures of this world to that of being submissive to the will of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no work required for this salvation, it is free and brought to as the apostle Paul stated, “By grace (unmerited favor) are you saved through faith, and that is not of yourself, but it is the gift of God, not of works so that no one can boast.”

Have you received that gift and believe in your heart Christ died and, by God’s authority, arose from the dead?

Hello and welcome!

You may be confusing Baptists with some other groups.

Baptists don't charge money for baptism. It's as free as the grace of God through Jesus Christ. Nor do Baptists adopt new "Christian" names.

What other goods or services were you thinking could be purchased? I ask because they will likely either not be part of Baptist practice or are also without charge.

I think in the main you are correct. But, I've heard that in India, new Christians will change their name if their original one refers to one of the Hindu gods.
Point taken. But do they legally change their names or just adopt one for church purposes?

Perhaps I should have noted that my comments were oriented to those in America, though I've never heard of anyone in a Baptist group charging for baptism. I have heard of other groups doing so.
