House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is sinking panel resources into a robust investigative staff to revive the probe into President Donald Trump's ties to Russia with roughly seven committee staffers directing their energy full-time

(CNN)House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff announced Wednesday a broad investigation his committee would undertake "beyond Russia" into whether President Donald Trump's financial interests are driving his actions.

Schiff said the investigation would "allow us to investigate any credible allegation that financial interests or other interests are driving decision-making of the President or anyone in the administration."
"That pertains to any credible allegations of leverage by the Russians or the Saudis or anyone else," Schiff told reporters after the House Intelligence Committee's first meeting in the new Congress.
In a statement, Schiff said the investigation would include a continued probe into Russia's actions during the 2016 election and contacts between the Russia and Trump's team, as well as an examination of "whether any foreign actor has sought to compromise or holds leverage, financial or otherwise, over Donald Trump, his family, his business, or his associates."

My 80+ year old mind is unable to recall a lot of stuff from this current investigation, BUT, IIRC, there has been a multitude of shenanigans uncovered thru this investigation that, had the dims known it would be, would never have been initiated! Without this, we would never have known just how deep this cancer had penetrated our system.
Seems that for every "sin" they THINK is gonna be the last gasp for the TRUMP administration, at least 2, if not more, of the "sins" of the left has been rooted out.
Their hatred is so massive against Trump they are incapable of seeing they are digging their own grave daily!!

Years ago the saying was, "There will be no peace in the Mideast till the Muslims love their children MORE than they hate the Jews."

Looks like Schiff is hi-jacking WH Employees for the new and improved "investigation".

Donald Trump believes House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff is trying to hire White House employees to gain an edge in his investigation of foreign attempts to influence the president, people familiar with the matter said.

Schiff has hired one former career official at the National Security Council, Abigail Grace, who left the White House last year, the people said. She has a congressional email address and is listed in a directory as working for the Intelligence Committee’s Democratic majority.

A second career employee detailed to the Trump White
House is also considering joining Schiff’s staff, according to people familiar with the matter. They didn’t identify the person.

Schiff’s office refused to confirm either staff move. Grace didn’t respond to an email requesting comment and her duties under Schiff aren’t known. But the California Democrat’s attempts to hire people with experience working under Trump have led to speculation among Trump’s aides and allies that Schiff is looking for insider knowledge of the White House as he probes whether the business dealings of the president and his family have made them vulnerable to espionage.

How about we just say that Obama, his administration, the DNC, and several specific Democrats (and RINOs) are obviously traitors, if what he and they claim is true? For anyone to withhold information and thus allow a man to become president and continue to act as president, who had illegally colluded with a foreign power against US national interests, would make himself as much a criminal as the one he is shielding.

On the other hand, if what they claim is not true, then how about we just say that Obama, his administration, the DNC, and several specific Democrats (and RINOs) are obviously traitors for attempting to nefariously undermine a legitimate presidency?

More than 18 months of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation has netted 199 criminal charges, 37 indictments or guilty pleas, and 4 prison sentences. I don't call that nothing. He will get around to Trump at the right time. Nixon wanted to stop the Watergate investigation too. Gee, I wonder why.
