Some big surprises in the first week of the NFL season....

    Miami dominates Denver.

Kansas City defense dominates the Jets.

Indy Defense steps up against Baltimore.

    49ers beat the Rams.

Gonna be a great NFL Season [IMG]

Yeah, the Indy defense was a total surprise...but a good one. [IMG] It was just too bad they allowed a TD with 13 seconds left. :(

Definatly a weekend of upsets. I liked that fact the Lions won, but remember Lion's fans, they started 4-2 last season, so don't get your hopes up yet.

After they win 7 games then maybe I will start to believe they are for real.

Unfortunately 7 wins for the Lions is the total for 2 seasons

Right and they have let me down so many times it is tough to beleive they can be a winning team this year.

I picked teams to win this first week and am NOT PLEASED.

Believe an untrained chimp could do better. And my college picks were worse. :( :(

And as of yesterday, a 49er wide reciever has more completions than their first round QB pick.

My annoyance with the Bears inability to move the ball was balanced with my delight at the Packers inability to score more than 3 points with the over-rated Brett Favre at QB. [IMG]

As a Bear and Chief fan any time the Packers, Lions, Vikings, Broncos and Raiders all loose in the same week, it has been a great week. [IMG]

It won't take long for the "Liedowns" to get another losing season under their belt. [IMG]

PS. I'll thank you not to remind me of the Bears own recent ineptitude. ;)

</font>[/QUOTE]I stand corrected, you are right the Lions did not loose this past week. I guess I am so used to the Lions loosing that it is out of habit to put them in the loss column. :D

It was still a good week with the rest of those teams loosing! [IMG]

I agree, however; they have looked great on opening day for the past 3 seasons. Now if we could only stretch opening day until January.

I want to know how the 49ers managed to beat the Rams. That was the biggest upset this past weekend.

And I am glad that Atlanta trounced Philly. I dont like those Eagles almost as much as I don't like the Cowboys.

"Trounced" may not be the best verb here. Lucky to come away with a win at the end.

I dislike BOTH the teams equally and wouldn't mind seeing them each 1-15 at season end!

Who would have thought a few years ago that the Rams beating the 49ers would be an upset  [IMG]
