If you are an NFL fan, do you get into the draft? I mean, do you read mock drafts endlessly; go to all the websites that show you who they think you're favorite team is drafting; and you have a strong opinion about whether Todd McShay and/or Mel Kiper are geniuses or complete hacks? I like the NFL and watch as many games as I can and I could not possibly care less about watching the draft. Am I a bad fan because of this? Should I get into the draft stuff, because I truly don't understand all the calories expended with endless mock drafts and trying to figure out who's taking who. It seems to me that the point of mock drafts exists for one reason, for NFL sportswriters to show how "connected" they are to the teams.

The only thing I care about in the sports world right now is Nascar, the NBA playoffs and MLB. Somebody help me understand why I should be interested in the NFL draft.

NFL is the most popular sport in the USA. Due to it being fast paced along with only lasting the regular season up to four months, six if you are going to be in the playoffs and Super Bowl.

Plus baseball, NASCAR, hockey, and basketball are year round. Without using your whole entire body! Like in football.

That is why people must love the draft!

NFL training camp opens in late July and the last game is played in February. I believe that means we have NFL 8 months of NFL each year which is 3 months too long as far as I am concerned. :tongue3: ESPN has made a mockery of American sports especially football.

I agree with you, except for the NBA and I love college baseball. I gave up on the NBA 10 or 15 years ago.

Why give up on the NBA? It's only the best basketball in the world.

That we will disagree on. I drove a tractor trailer for about 47 years and I never traveled as much as the players in the NBA do on the court or that is how I see it.

Other than those who play professional sports, how many millionaires go on strike?
