That's tough. Peter and Ruth rank high.

"What" would be Balaam's donkey. (The fact that God could use a donkey encourages me!!)

"Who" (other than Jesus) would be Joshua.

Just one favorite? Impossible! These are some of mine:

    Jesus - for obvious reasons!

Peter - I relate so much to him and his doing things without thinking about the consequences.

Jonah - I, too, sometimes get angry about what God wants to do. I am getting more obedient as I get older, too!

I could go on, but there are so many! Do you think that maybe God included these people in His Book to inspire us?

I`m sure this is so, Bill, and to give examples that most of us can relate to. Most of us can find a parallel personality in The Bible.

I've always liked Martha. I relate to her--I'm the one always running around cleaning and cooking and stressing out about everything when we have company. Sometimes I need to remind myself to calm down and be a little more Mary-like.

Job. Without question, in my mind, the greatest character in all of scripture.

    Cheers,

    Jim
