Proably wrong time of day for a quick answer.
Did learn something I didn't know though, not up to date on Ancient/Modern history....today it is Mosul(?), & from what I'
ve seen there are (were?) extensive historical sites in the area. Even a muslim masque relating to the memory of Jonah.

    Mosul it is

You are correct. It is Mosul. I have read all the passages in the Bible about it. I hope to spot the hill in the East where Jonah sat under his gourd.

Pretty cool stuff! I was able to do Babylon last time I was here.

Relating to that, I remember reading some kind of report yrs ago that Saddam was tryin to rebuild Babylon clost to the original site. Any evidence of that?
Also read that that where the Word says it was a city of 3 days journey, that it was proably refering to the outskirts of the city, bout 60 miles to go around it.

Ancient Ninevites and Babylonians worshipped Baal and Ishtar, to include temple prostitutes and human sacrifice, including child sacrifice and cannabalism. The word cannabalism is derived from the word baal.
