Among the most telling anomalies pointing to something terribly afoot is the gun battle, killing 5, that occurred at the breached levee between the New Orleans Police Department and, what have now been identified as US military agents. An Associated Press report, which has now disappeared, stated that at least five USA Defense Department personnel where shot dead by New Orleans police officers in the proximity of the breached levee. (Please Note: The original media reports concerning the shootout are now being changed or "cleansed" in a cover-up. We found one original report at http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,1280,-5256023,00.html La Voz de Aztlan has a mirror page of this report at http://www.aztlan.net/police_kill_five_contractors.htm in case this report gets changed or deleted as well) A spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers said later that those killed were "federal contractors" on their way to "repair" a canal. The "contractors" were on their way to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain, in an operation to "fix" the 17th Street Canal, according to the Army Corps of Engineers spokesman. Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley of New Orleans later reported that his policemen had shot at eight suspicious people near the breached levee, killing five or six.

Who were these "military agents" that were killed by the police near the 17th Street Canal breached levee and what were they doing there? Why did the New Orleans police find it necessary to shoot and kill 5 or 6 of them? No one is saying anything and it appears that the news story has now been swept under the rug. Were these US Department of Defense personnel a Special Forces group or Navy Seals with top secret orders to sabotaged the levee? There are verifiable reports that at least 100 New Orleans police officers have disappeared from the face of the earth and that two have committed suicide. Could these be policemen that died defending the levee against sabotage by "federal contractors"?

Maybe it has been "swept under the rug" because it was an unsubstantiated rumour?

Apparently New Orleans didnt need the ultra black bag operators of Special Forces or Navy Seals (which actually ARE special forces, but whatver) to shoot and kill idiots trying to continue the lawlessness and uncivilized behavior that some hoped to continue unabated. Many law enforcement agencies and military personnel are trained in weapons familiarization (wow who would have thought that!) and anyone with eyesight, ammo, and some idea of Kentucky windage could have taken people out that were considered a threat.

Here is a thought: According to your theory, you think someone bombed a levee to make land grabs? Kind of defeats the entire purpose unless you are wanting to live in a waterworld setting.

How bout a cup of smart this morning PN?

Who, what, when, where, how, and why? I don't believe the "who" were part of some government conspiracy as suggested by the original posting. Never the less, the true circumstances are something I've wondered about since it was reported. It most likely was merely a coincidence of criminals bent on some other mischief being caught by surprise. It could have been something else. It does merit a full investigation and explanation based in fact and not rumors.

Farrakhan's been traveling across the country to visit shelters like the one that is set up at the coliseum. He said he's not happy with the job the American Red Cross is doing.

He had harsh words for FEMA too. But that was just the warm up. Farrakhan also shared his thoughts on how the levee breached in the first place.

"I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach. It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry," Farrakhan said.

Farrakhan is a race monger desiring to stir up trouble to maintain or expand his power base among those stupid enough to believe him. Ask him why "white" people would destroy the "black part of town". Is it so they could be forced to pay for rebuilding it? I'm sure he has a racist answer even if it doesn't make sense. It's probably will have something to do with oppression.

This natural disaster effected people of many races, national origins, and economic status over a wide area - not just "poor black" people in New Orleans - and is being addressed by people all over the country who are giving willingly to help them all. My family, my co-workers, and my friends are part of that effort. Included among those I know about that are being helped are whites, blacks, and Asians.

The whole suggestion that racial bias played or will play any part in this disaster and the follow on rescue and recovery as well as the coming reconstruction is plain stupid. The only significant exceptions to that are the response of race mongers and their followers. Who except God knows what’s in their hearts? What we can deduce from their conduct is selfishness, jealousy, resentment, irresponsibility, and, most of all, hatred.

Certainly errors can and will be found in the response of the governments at the city, parish or county, state, and federal level as well as the individual residents involved. Hopefully we can learn some valuable lessons from a review of what happened without over reacting and adding more statutory and administrative laws creating more agencies with more power and control. Hopefully we can learn how to deal with our problems more effectively at the local level.
