The teaching that there are ten lost tribes was first taught by the British Iataelites in the early 1800's. They believed the first peson who taught on their part was Richard Brothers known as the mad prophet who said he was the nephew of the almighty, and king George III must hand over his throne to him. He was jailed as a criminal lunatic.
