National Review has an article today that "No, Trump Isn't Actually Better Than Hillary." It says that Trump is worse than you can imagine.

Both have bad character.

Hillary might be more reliable on foreign policy because Trump's foreign policy is crazy.

Clinton is also considered more stable on trade.

Both are terrible on taxes.

On moral issues, neither has a traditional conservative approach to morals. Trump seemed pleased that Bruce Jenner used the Ladies Washroom in Trump Tower.

Trump is no better than Hillary.

I have been saying that the whole time. And then when I factor in the fervancy of their supporters Trump comes out worse. When I read things over at slate or salon or the huff post they all are pretty much like we have to hold our nose and vote for her. But Trump's supporters are true believers in him and that makes him the more dangerous of the 2.

Trump is bad but anyone who thinks Hillary is some kind of better is delusional. Neither one of those should be an option under any circumstances.
But the reality that you have to deal with is that those two are indeed the only two options. A third party run by someone is a throw-away choice.

Supporting someone who stands in opposition to Christ is my idea of a throw-away vote. After the Mormon, I shouldn't be surprised at what so called Christ followers will support in order to win an election.

Perhaps it is in my naive youth that I think this, but if we could convince the people at-large to believe that third party choices are legitimate options it would stop being a 'throw-away' choice. Though I'm not sure you can 'throw away' a vote regardless, even if your opinion on a candidate isn't particularly popular, you have the right to vote for the person you think best to lead the country and not the one the establishment chooses.

I'm probably too idealistic to be practical in this regard though.

No, it's not. And particularly this year it wouldn't be. With the super high unfavorable ratings that Trump and Hillary "enjoy" a third party candidate could have a legitimate shot.

Me neither. Anyone who voted for Gore in 2000 also voted for Lieberman, who stands in opposition to Christ. And then , anyone who votes for a member of the ACLU....

The primary issue will be 5 and perhaps 6 SCOTUS seats open in the next 8 years. The only question we should ask ourselves is, "Who would we rather have filling those seats? Hilary or Trump." Neither one thrills me, but we know what Hilary will do and we must avoid that at all costs, even the cost of enduring a Trump Presidency.

You cannot throw away a vote.
Of course you can. If you end up voting for H.C. --you have thrown away your vote like an obstinate child.
If you go the third party route --you are being petulant. If you write in some's name --you're just being peevish. All three of these choices will lead to a H.C. victory.
Vote on principles and stand by them
Your principles are hollow if the end result of your effort conributes to H.C. as the POTUS.

This is old, from last March:

French is another graduate of Harvard Law School.

The NR has really jumped the shark - Donald Trump has never accused of murder or treason. This writer wants you to consider Gary Johnson:

I miss WFB.

WFB--yes, there was only one William F. Buckley and he once called Trump a demagogue.

http://www.nationalreview.com/artic...ley-donald-trump-demagoguery-cigar-aficionado

Cal Thomas says that it was the passive GOP establishment that allowed for the rise of Trump.

Thomas Sowell says that Donald Trump will be an unmitigated disaster.

As for Cruz and Harvard, Cruz got there from poverty by his exceptional intelligence. It is unusual for a Reagan conservative such as Cruz to attend an Ivy League university, and one can be sure that the rich and liberal at Harvard still do not like him as they are very class conscious.

As for Johnson, he looks great until one reads that he wants to legalize drugs. There are too many Americans in the pit already. Reagan called for a strong defense, a small government, and a traditional approach to moral issues.

Hillary is evil personified. Period.

Trump is a better choice. No question.
