Peace prize winner 'could kill' Bush
    Annabelle McDonald
    July 25, 2006

NOBEL peace laureate Betty Williams displayed a flash of her feisty Irish spirit yesterday, lashing out at US President George W.Bush during a speech to hundreds of schoolchildren.

Campaigning on the rights of young people at the Earth Dialogues forum, being held in Brisbane, Ms Williams spoke passionately about the deaths of innocent children during wartime, particularly in the Middle East, and lambasted Mr Bush.

"I have a very hard time with this word 'non-violence', because I don't believe that I am non-violent," said Ms Williams, 64.

"Right now, I would love to kill George Bush." Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.

Typical. The Nobel Peace Prize is a joke.

So she is "campaigning...at the Earth Dialogues forum". Not sure what that is but it has "new age cultic" written all over it. Worse yet they have chosen this murderer at heart (Matt 5:21-22) to give a speech to children?

If they gave me the Nobel Peace Prize I would throw it in the trash...since that is about all it is worth. :tongue3:

Most asinine spelling of the day. Hands down.

(Asinine is really one of those words that if you're going to use it, you should spell it correctly, just because of what it means)

Me, too. Hint: They will probably give it to the Anti-Christ one day during his first 3-1/2 years of power.

I'm appalled that she said that ~~ could the Secret Service be far behind? I'm much more astonished that the children applauded and cheered. Just how young were they, and who brought them to City Hall?

If she wants to assassinate the President of the United States, she is far from a "peace advocate." She is in the same category as Pat Robertson, who wanted to assassinate Hugo Chavez.

Betty Williams is from the Nationalist quarter of Belfast. She rose to prominence in the 1970's when alongside Mairaid Corrigan she founded the "Peace People" who campaigned (unsuccessfully) for an end to sectarian violence in Northern Ireland. Alas, like the vast majority of Irish nationalists she is pro-Arab, anti-Israeli as is evident by these remarks.

There's a hunk of money that goes with it.

I suspect she's all talk whereas Bush is actually responsible for killing scores of thousands. That he did it in the name of war rather than peace is what makes his actions noble, eh?

"Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit...For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned" -Matt 12:33,34b-37

"But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man" -Matt 15:18-20a

We have now seen the heart of Betty Williams, and many like her, and it is filled with murder.

We have been around this tree before, I think. You will have a hard time with that charge since God has given human government the sword (etc). Would you accuse King David of murder since he also lead armies into battle?

Having said that I don't think Bush is noble. George W Bush is a politician and few, and I mean very few, of them are noble.

I don't remember "noble" ever being tied to a description of Bush and his efforts in the war against terrorism, but I may have missed it.

"Noble" is not a word normally associated with Bush.

    Not normally...

But isn't the Iraq invasion & occupation a noble cause? To liberate the Iraqis (at considerable expense to ourselves & little hope of recompense), to force democracy down the throats of the Arabs, to make the world safe from Saddam Hussein's evil intentions are noble goals, n'est-ce pas? And who is responsible more than anyone? Don't that make him noble?

Marine recruiter that is . . . I would wait until I knew you were reformed before recommending you to the US Army.

    God bless America!

Daisy, The Prime Minister of Iraq disagrees with you about forcing democracy down their throats. All those Iraqis that have voted and campaigned to be elected disagree with you.

As far as little hope of recompense; Pure lib spin with no real evidednce as time has been short and you libs refuse to admit to and count the advances made in Iraq which are considerable. Not to mention that the conflicts are limited to a small portion of the country.

As far as it being noble ask the Iraqi Prime Minister Mr. Maliki if it was noble.
