    Brethren,

Yes, now what about hunting? Are you for it, or against it? Is it a God-given right? :D

Nothing is a God-given right, IMHO.

But since God gives man the instruction to subdue the earth and have dominion over the animals I have no problem with hunting for food.

I have a neighbor two houses down who loads his own shells and cartridges---he showed me the operation---cool----but I promise ya---if his "Powder House" blows up----it'd leave a hole in the ground way on past my house!!!

    Hunting for food is ok!

If one is an omnivore or carnivore, one must either pay someone to kill it, clean it and cook it, or do it oneself.

If one is a vegetarian, perhaps one could object to the killing of animals. Adam and Eve probably had veggie burgers cooked in plant oil.

Confronting a full-grown Kodiak bear with a .357 magnum is probably the epitomy of stupidity. Some think it sport.

Not many wild animals have a "sporting" chance.

Dispatching wild birds with modern loads over decoys is not very sporting--but it sure puts meat in the freezer.

If killing animals is "fun", one may have a male ego problem.

God designated to Israel: clean meat and unclean meat--for health reasons.

See you at the duck blind.

Look out for the bird flu.

Hunting is okay. All of the meat you eat is killed by somebody. With prices of meat staying pretty high hunting is becomming more of an economical option.

I say if you're gonna eat it - kill it. If you're not interested in eating it or giving it to someone else to eat, and you're only interested in the sport - shoot it with a good 35mm. (camara)

I just want to see the video of you giving that Kodiak a sporting chance as you killed it with that .357 mag ...

Were you using a ruger to increase the thrill of the sport?

I go hunting all the time. I hunt the flashlight, the wallet, those keys, that file, without ever firing a shot.

I believe in VEGETABLE RIGHTS, as well. Save a squash, be a blessing to brocolli.

We grow alfalfa sprouts and my wife says that they are still alive and growing as I eat them in my salad.

I can almost hear their tiny voices crying, "Help! Don't eat me! You cannibal!" as I crush the life out of them with my molars.

    Bambi doesn't have a chance if I am so cruel to a carrot . . .

Hunting for food out of necessity is permitted by God. Taking the life of an innocent animal for sport is barbaric savagery.

I'm for it, don't see anything wrong with it. God gave us animals to eat didn't He? [IMG]
