Nurses make fatal error

Sad incident all around. Sad for all the parents and families of the babies and sad for the nurses and hospital staff who made the mistakes. Just sad.

 

I cant even imagin how bad the nurse must feel. Or how much greif the famlies feel. People make mistakes.

I think the safety measures that were in place

Probly lead to the accident. The nurse just opens the drawer and the takes the medicne. They know its the right meds without even looking because the drawer opened. Except in this case where the wrong meds were put in the drawer in the first place. If she would have had to take the meds from a shelf she would have looked at them.

Complacency and relying on computers to do what should only be a backup safety.

 

This is scary . . .
