Mr Berg has been a Democrat of long standing, and a state Deputy Attorney General and is license to practice law before the bar and even to the level of the Supreme Court. He was an ardent supporter of Hillary Clinton, but, in all probability, would back Obama, if he felt this issue was settled to the satisfaction of all.
It may be that the credentials Obama presented received rather 'light' or cursory examination by bureaucrats without in-depth legal advice or knowledge:
However, between statements alleged to have been made by Obama's paternal family regarding his birth, autobiographical data present in his books, the inquiry raised by others, the questions of financing an expensive college education and amassing such wealth (not excessive by any means but substantially remarkable for a young man of such modest means with student loan baggage to repay on a very modest salary of about $12000/yr as a community activist......unless he was the recipient of scholarship and grants based upon exceptional qualifications)...... and the admission that his mother remarried and he lived in Indonsia until the age of 10, acknowledged by his step-father as being his son and therefore of Indonesian, and with mother and father of Indonesian citizenship without recognition of dual citizenship by either country at that time.... himself acknowledged and enrolled as a citizen of Indonesia without which other arrangements would have had to be made for his early schooling......... that Berg feels there are important questions, unanswered and not satisfied, which are required to meet the qualifications for POTUS.
Already, during this last year, there has been some rumors that the California Govenor aspires to the office of POTUS...... but, while a citizen of the US, his citizenship does not qualify him to run as President. As seldom as these laws are worked with in such a level of detail, it is conceivable to me, anyway, that a person may, with all genuine sincerity, qualify for other elected offices and proceed in his ambition to run for higher office, unaware of an obstacle to his advancement based on a technicalilty of law.
If the law seems not to be clear..... one thing which is clear to a free people who are self-goverened by law: Either their leadership is likewise submissive to the order of the law of the land, or their leaders are lawless and are incapable of leading a free people.
