"Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord." - Col. 3:20

I want to strenously encourage the youth of our churches to heed God's Word regarding your actions and attitudes. The Bible says to honor your father and mother. God has given to you, your parents, as a blessing to lead, guide and instruct you in the manner in which you are to live. Any youth culture present in the church that undermines the parental role of fathers and mothers should be carefully considered and appropriately dealt with. Children with obedient spirits are well pleasing to the Lord.

There is a condition. If anything that does not honor God first is not something one should do. One should at least read the verse before and after. That letter is directed to the church which would be believers. Any believing man or woman should not be asking their children to do anything against God.

When I was a kid my dad would try and put small items that he wanted in my pocket to be taken from the store. I never once honored that. To this day I call people on their lack of honesty and ethics. I see so much compromise in the church and leaders in churches and denominations as though God does not care and yet they will lie to both man and God.
