No , not at all . The 10th month is a very Calvinistic one ! ( But I will include others . Maybe one of you can identify the non-Calvinists .)

Actually this thread has nothing to do with events in Church History as such -- except the births and deaths of some notable individuals .

I think something J.D. posted on another thread would fit in well with your "every month is calvinistic" threads...

My concern is that we tend to let the size of a movement determine our opinions of it. "If it's large, it must be of God." Isn't that the rule of the present age (present age as in, let's say, 1850's to today)?

I really don't understand the point of this. From the outside it almost looks like idolatry...that these men are held up higher than all others.

Are calvinists better believers than non? Do you compile a list of non calvinists' birthdays each month?

I am a Calvinist WD . I have a fondness for Calvinists throughout history . I just wanted to give them some appreciation . And , I wanted others to be aware of them also .

I have started threads in the past honoring non-Calvinists . There have been godly men and women who were not Calvinists . You can start a thread mentioning them as I have here if you'd like .

In my time here I have seen some rather worthless thread subjects . This isn't one of them . However you are free to disagree !

Let's honor the One all honor is due! It amazes me the lengths calvinists go to lift up their own. It's quite disturbing...

Yes , Matthew Henry was a firm Calvinist . But don't let David Cloud know that you found out . Keep it under your hat . He uses Henry when it suits his purpose .

It was said that Henry read Henry's commentary so much that he virtually became the Matthew Henry of the open air . Of course George Whitefield saturated himself with the Holy Scripture -- the source from which Henry drew .

This whole area puts way too much emphasis on the wrong things and thereby neglects the important ones.
