The Winner?? Whichever team scores at least one more point than the other team!

I did not vote, but my personal response is one of ignorance and apathy. I don't know and I don't

care. Now my bride :love2: , on the other hand, happens to be asleep :sleeping_2:, otherwise I'm sure she

    could tell me!

The Buckeys should have won it last year if that TE catches that ball.

Without Vince Young, I don't think it will even be as close. OSU has way too many weapons on defense. I picked 6-10.

How can you say OSU has too many weapons on defense when they lost a whole bunch of their starters from last year to the NFL? Every single starting LB is now gone from last year. That is a lot of holes to fill with new players even if they are talented. Plus they gave up a whole lot of yards to Northern Illinois last week. If they give up that many yards at Texas they are going to be in deep trouble.

You need to be looking at the Texas defense which is returning almost everyone from their team last year.

    I see Texas winning here.

Texas' defense will be competitive with OSU's offense.

Even without Young, I think the rebuilt OSU defense will struggle with the Texas offense.

For all the talk about Smith, he tends to throw an ugly ball and put alot of air under his deep throws. Against most defenses he gets away with it. Against a Horns defense that will throw some of the fastest players in America at him... I don't expect they'll hit any deep passes.

Texas is one of a hand full of defenses that have the speed to run with Ginn.

A very impressive win by Ohio State tonight in Austin. Looks like they will be a player in the national championship hunt this season.

    OSU was impressive tonight.

Can someone tell me why Texas stopped running the ball? They were making big holes and getting off big runs and they just seemed to stop.

Woohooooooooooo! Go Buckeyes. Yes! Down with the Longhorns!!!!!!! This is truly a great football weekend when the Hogs win and the Longhorns lose in the same weekend.

One got it right, anyway - one out of ten voting. Best I can figure, that's ten percent. Percentage sounds about like most of us didn't know as well as we thought. Heh! Heh! Glad I didn't vote, so no one can see my ignorance, but only guess about it!

I think what we saw in Texas was not so much the absence of V.Young's athleticism at QB, but rather the loss of his 'inspirational' leadership and the way he exuded confidence. Last year they were behind but didn't stop playing like they still expected to win; this year they didn't show that. However, Jim Tressell was right to keep throwing the ball; OSU didn't show much of a running game, and that last TD drive with big pass plays basically killed any realistic hope Texas had.
