A woman furious that her new puppy had died confronted the breeder and repeatedly hit her on the head with it, US police have said.

The unnamed 33-year-old had taken the Chihuahua to a vet, who said it was only four-weeks-old and needed to be returned to its mother.
But before she could take the puppy back, it died.

The woman marched over to the breeder's home in St Peters, Missouri, and shoved her way inside.

Determined to get the basement to grab herself a different puppy, she began fighting with the breeder who managed to wrestle her out of the house.

The angry woman proceeded to batter the breeder over the head repeatedly with the dead creature.

Driving away and still enraged, she waved the dead puppy out of the car's sunroof and yelled threats at the breeder.

And it was not over yet - she later telephoned the breeder and threatened her and her family.

Police are considering charging the woman with burglary and assault.

That's kindof gross -- the beating with the dead puppy not your hair loss.

How out of control do you have to be to hit someone with a dead chihuahua?

There was a bully once in my sixth grade class who came in swining a dead otter. I took it away from him and beat him with it to protect the other kids.

Now, you'll wonder if I'm pulling your leg or not...

(As I sit in the dark with the glow of my computer screen.)

I can just hear the woman yelling in a John Cleese tone as she is belting with the chihuahua: This chihuahua is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late chihuahua. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace...It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-chihuahua.

    On a more somber note,

The breeder, according to the buyer's vet, sold a 4 week old puppy! Would it have even been weaned yet? If the new puppy died and was so young, perhaps the breeder was very much at fault.

If all the crazy woman wanted was a new puppy, then she is at fault, but there might have been other issues here, such as selling too young, sick puppies. At any rate, hitting someone with a 4-week old chihuahua can't have done much physical damage.
