Our task is not to elect a President. Our task is to win those who aspire to be President to Jesus, the Christ of the Bible. We have the same task with every member of The House and The Senate. It is our task at the municipal, county, and state level, as well. We Christians are quick to come up with ideas about how our nation should be run, to cry out "ain't it awful" and "woe is us", but we do little to ensure that government is run that way. Rather than look to God, we look to one political party or another. It is a national disgrace for this once Nation of Christians.

This is one nation under God indivisible. Government is OF the people: it arises from them; it is BY the people: we instruct our elected representatives to fulfill our wishes, hopes, and dreams for our country; it is FOR the people: the legislature is to enact legislation which benefits us, which enables the President to carry out those wishes through departments and agencies and boards who are sworn to defend the TRUTH that no government can long endure without God as its Captain. The Legislative, the Executive, and the Judicial are NOT Rome lording it over Israel. They are OUR public servants. WE are they who are in authority over us!

Government arises out of US, WE decide how it is to be carried out, and we do it for OUR benefit, not legislative agendas, perks, pork-barrel projects, or for a particular political party to gain power. Power among men and women is deceptive, destructive, demoralizing, deplorable. There is only one Power, God the Father, manifesting Himself as the Son, walking alongside us as the Holy Spirit.

Our task is to deliver from cults those bound up in them, into the arms of Jesus, the Christ, who stands ready to welcome them, who even now beckons them to come home to the One Tri-une God. Our task is to make our voices heard in carrying out the Command Jesus gave us, to go into all the world bringing the Good News of Peace in Him.

We have no right, no place, no business to wallow in who would be the best President, outside of the instructions that God gives to His Children, remembering that even the President is our public servant, not set to rule over us, but to listen to us.

In short, we are to humble ourselves and pray, acknowledging Him as worthy of ALL praise and adoration, bowing low before Him, accepting His Purpose for each of us. We then grasp hold of that Purpose and see it through, knowing that He who has given it to us will never fail us.

    Amen.
    Deuteronomy 30:15-18; Romans 10:8-15.
p.s. I'll vote absentee ballot, thank you.

When US as a Christian nation becomes THEM as a non-Christian nation we may have wished we took the responsibility to voice our opinions on current political issues
