Poll: Most adults disagree with Trump on firing athletes who kneel during anthem

It seems that ever since he began running for president, the polls have shown him to be on the wrong side of the numbers! STRANGE, because even on election day, he was on the wrong side of the polls, yet he won!

I do not, never have, and probably never will trust polls! In my sociology courses I took statistics, and one thing I discovered was that numbers in polls can be made to reflect whatever the polling party want them to say!

So, are you for or against Trump's rant and rage
over the NFL dissing the Star Spangled Banner
and the American flag?

Do they have a right - yes -
but that does not make it right.

The main point I like to bring out is that it is a matter of respect.
I would rather they stay in the locker room than to be kneeling during the National Anthem.

I have stood guard duty on the East German Border, I have visited East Berlin -
Maybe the USA is not perfect - but we are one of the best countries on the face of the earth.

These folks who say it is all that bad - and who decide not to effect changes thur the
political, should seriously move to another country.

Here is an article on what Kaepernick has done - good for him - but he should concentrate on the positive.

All this has been ginned up by the leftist America haters in society. They want nothing less than to change everything.

The flag and the anthem used to bring us together, but no more. Sports events like football used to bring us together, but now that even that has become political, that has been ended too.

It's all about tearing us apart so that the nation can be rebuilt under a leftist model. The "fundamental transformation" of rhe nation began under a man in a suit and tie who held the highest elective office in the land, and it continues by the people who wear masks at demonstrations and football uniforms.

Funny (in a localized way for me being I am from Alabama) that he was on the wrong side of the polls supporting STRANGE over Roy Moore.

Twist of words... but I couldn't help myself and this is an open section to friendly banter back and forth...

Back to your regular programing..

No Fans Left (NFL) is in the entertainment business and yet they bring Democrat Party politics into entertainment.

During World War II, these same Democrats wanted people to stand during the national anthem because the Democrats wanted to win the war and wanted cooperation. Now the Democrats are into something else and the country is not important in comparison to a political issue.

It is estimated that the No Fans Left organization receives $1,000,000,000 per year from the taxpayers. They are too cheap to pay their own way in the business world and don't mind taking money from the working poor who could never afford to attend one of their events and probably would not be welcome by the swells who refuse to stand for the national anthem because of some Democrat Party political issue. The Indianapolis Colts have a restaurant tax imposed by law in about six counties, and whenever a person buys a cheap hamburger and cup of coffee the cashier collects a surcharge tax on the hamburger to help the swells in professional football with their Democrat Party issues.

Yeah. I supported Moore. Trump should have stayed out but he was throwing the RNC a bone.

Professional sports not only take tax money everyday to avoid paying their own way in the business world, but also they are actually bad for business or only slightly good for business. Real estate taxes, state income taxes, and sales taxes go up because professional sports takes subsidies and always wants more. Only a few restaurants, bars, parking lots, etc. around the stadiums make any money off the sports teams and then they only do well on game days.

In Indianapolis, we subsidize the Colts, the Indiana Pacers, and the empty stadium of the Indiana Fever, who will never be self-supporting. Only the minor-league baseball team the Indianapolis Indians pays their own way, although I myself do not know how their new stadium is financed. Even the Indianapolis Motor Speedway demanded and got subsidies from the Indiana state government. It is axiomatic that the sale of alcoholic beverages is a main attraction at these games.

Perhaps the national anthem should ceased to be played at the games since it causes political demonstrations, seemingly partially funded by tax-payer money....

Yet another worthless poll:

These are findings from an Ipsos poll conducted September 25-26, 2017 on behalf of Thomson Reuters. For the survey, a sample of roughly 1,622 adults age 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii was interviewed online in English. The sample includes 628 Democrats, 583 Republicans and 222 Independents

Ipsos, Reuters, adults, skewing ideology and, worse, the question in this "poll" has already been decided - No, the owners are not going to fire the kneelers, if anything, they will join in. So now they can't fire them without exuding extreme hypocrisy.

Boxed in, they should have never taken Trump's bait. Now the NFL is in a lose-lose scenario unless the fans drop it but they won't.

Yeah. I supported Moore. Trump should have stayed out but he was throwing the RNC a bone.

He's getting some really bad advice from someone. This time, voters won't hold it against him because Moore won.

But if he canoodles with democrats and does not keep his promises on immigration, he will be a one term president. He might not even get the nomination for a second term.

I don't know what to say. The Republicans can't move any legislation. He actually wants to get something done and he knows the RINOS won't move legislation. What should he do? I honestly have no clue. What he has done is expose the RINOs.

Democrats will never agree to any of his agenda.

By getting in bed with democrats in order to "get something done", he will not advance the agenda that got him elected and will ensure he will not be re-elected.

It's a win win for democrats and a lose lose for Trump and America.
