    1 & 2

    1 in the sense that you cannot be a Pastor without also being a teacher in the Word.

    2 in the sense that you could be a teacher of the word without being a Shephard(Pastor) over a particular flock - in fact you could be a teacher without ever being a Pastor.

    It appears (grammatically) that it is one. This one man could then appoint additional helpers/teachers.
    2Ti 2:2
    And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

    In HIS service;
    Jim

    One gift of the "elder" - he must be a shepherd/teacher.

    Not only does it work (as a hyphenated gift), it is correct grammar, too.

    Well then how about this one?

    How do you feel about the thought that - since apostles and prophets are no longer around (I realize some say prophets are now preachers) and there is no mention of the gift of pastor-teacher or pastor in the other letters, might these four be NT time only people that were given for the establishment of the church.

    Like, maybe even the apostles themselves being the apostles mentioned and others that were prophets, pastor-teachers and evangelists?

    Maybe that was specifically what Timothy and Titus were - pastor-teachers.
