After the United Nations on Friday passed an anti-Israel resolution, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Saturday that the United States should cut all of its funding from the U.N.
In fact, Graham pledged on CNN Saturday to introduce a proposal to strip the U.N. of U.S. funds if they don’t repeal the anti-Israel measure, which “bans” Israel from building settlements in land claimed by the Palestinians.
“It’s that important to me,” Graham told CNN. “This is a road we haven’t gone down before. If you can’t show the American people that international organizations can be more responsible, there is going to be a break. And I am going to lead that break.”
The South Carolina senator added that he will do everything in his power to ensure that there is “no doubt” where America stands with Israel.
