I really am enjoying MyYahoo. I have all of my appts in the calendar - it sends me reminders by email, I have a list of my favourites and an online breifcase where I can store files for access anywhere there is a computer on the internet. I also have my address book so I can find any address no matter where I am in the world with one click of a button.


I am a big google fan - but am inpressed by the one screen convenience of MyYahoo.

Uuuummmm! I used to write notes on my palm with a ballpoint, but my dell is much cleaner and writing on the palm wouldn't last till 2006 I don't think.

 

Brother, you know that the mark of the beast is going to run Windows. Don't do it!

 

Thought the mark was to be in the PALM or on the forehead

 

Dells are fine for basic computing... as long as you don't even think about overclocking or upgrading anything other than memory or hard drives. Dell gives their systems no growth potential, and use proprietary parts.

I have to admit that their customer service is ususally pretty good, as long as you get someone who can speak your language and is not reading off of a cue card.

We do a quiet life as well, but the ppc is great for keeping the way ahead schedules, addresses and the ability to carry several translations of the Bible, several commentary sets, several bible dictionaries and numerous books etc. with us to church Not to mention the grocery list, the checks I write, the electronic transactions and the rest of my mind so I don't loose it

Customer service/lanugage got one the other day on some phone line, that I could barely tell they were using English, finally hung up and tried again.

What I love is the email service some companies give. Ask question "A" and get answers to questions "D" and "H" with no mention of question "A"

One the other day suggested I try everything that I mentioned in the email that I had tried OH, WELL, we can't all be brilliant I guess

 

Being able to search the Bible anywhere is the main reason I went out and bought a PDA. It comes in handy when out on the street. I use a Zire 31 which was very inexpensive, but I may upgrade to something else in the next year or so. They just released a new device they are calling the 'Life Drive' that has a 4GB microdrive in it. Nothing new to PPC, I think, but kind of neat for Palm. But I might go PPC if I could find an affordable device with the features I want. I just like Graffiti

 

I've tried the recognition software a time or two but that is designed for hand writing and I do chicken scratchin so don't work so good

4 gig would do me have a 1 gig sd card in my dell and it still has some grow room. I see the little drives are starting to come down in price and go up in size. Amazing they can build those things.
