Orange lines on the roads???

I have experienced my "lane keeping" driver assists feature of my car sometimes thinks a ghost line is a valid lane line and tries to steer me into a "k" rail. We need better technology to obliterate outdated road lines.

 

Again the knowledge is readily available, just "stove piped." The people making the driver assist lane line recognition software, know what demarcation triggers line recognition. And the cover over people who spray the black paint or asphalt over the old lines could alter it such that the solfware would not recognize it. But do they work together? Nope.

 

Still very experimental. But if it works, then why not?

However, human nature is notoriously hard to tame.
