She may be telling the truth or embellishing her story to get her desired result.

It appears she approached the meeting as an attack dog and he was understandably wary after she attacked him.

Or most of this may be fabricated out of her vindictive imagination.

And you are from California, therefore, the "nut" part of your name makes perfect sense.

You make out like Texans are dumb, but you in CA are the ones paying our oil and gas companies 5 times what anyone else does. Just keep sending us your money and you can call us dumb all you like.

Think about it. She was understandably distraught over the loss of her son. And she blamed Bush. Also understandable.

She may not even realize it herself.

To deny that that is , at least a possibility, is to truly have a "closed mind".

For starters, the quote is misleading. Governor Bush did not order the deaths of any offender in TDCJ, the people of the great state of Texas decided the fates of those murderers.

Secondly, that whole website is moronic. They use Gary Graham and Karla Faye Tucker as their "poster people", yet Graham was convicted for murder and multiple attempted murders, including shooting a man's legs off with a shotgun, and Tucker murdered a man and woman with a hatchet.

Frankly, I think the people of Texas were rather lenient on these butchers. They should have been beaten and then hanged.

Well, BJR, there are a couple of ways to look at that. We in California pay more because we have such strict pollution laws. In the 60's when I was a kid, we had many, many smog alerts during the summer. It has been years since we've had one! So, I say it's worth the price for the extra high grade oil and the extra refining

But there again, this is something that was voted, so the people spoke.

compassionate conservative anymore...it was
supposed to be that great big defining phrase
of the Bush White house.

He has 3 years to resurrect it but it means

Aslanspal, yes, we are adrift. And yes, the messages coming from the White House are in constant flux. And yes, Bush will do and say whatever he can to keep his precious votes and his precious approval numbers. These are the things that men do when they are overcome with an evil we call pride. He is using God's name in vain. His pre-emptive war, waged without cause or justification... meaning there was not clear and present danger or threat to the US at the time, screams of a terrorist act! That begs for someone to do the same thing to us!
