Overdue Book returned to Library!

Libraries are aware that some of their valuable books are being stolen and then sold on the internet.

I purchase a lot of books but I don’t like to get used library books because they often have multiple stamping and the spine is often disfigured by a sticker.

A seller of a book I purchased off eBay recently didn’t identify it as a used library book.
Some libraries will stamp a book that they discard but this one had no such stamp. I was suspicious.

So I emailed the library and the next day they emailed me back and let me know that the book was not stolen and I could keep it.
