P.O.D. turning Satanic!!

I went to one of their shows and they sacrificed a virgin on stage. If that weren't enough they passed around a goblet of goats blood. They concluded the show by calling down fire from heaven and marking the foreheads of everyone in the audience. All in all it was a pretty good night.

 

Turning Satanic????? I thought they already were. They sure aint Christian! Anyone who sings alongside Marylin Manson is no good to anybody.

 

P.O.D never was and never will be satanic...good joke though! There's nothing wrong with singing at the same concert at Marilyn Manson. How else could you reach those people attending the show for Christ? Not to mention Manson himself!

You do not need cold hard facts or evidence to back that up, just common sense. POD has aligned itself with the things of this world and that cannot be denied no matter how hard someone tries. Their own guitarest left b/c he was tired of living a lie. They appear with Marilyn Manson (a devout and self proclaimed satanist), Kid Rock, Howard Stern....and the list goes on and on.

I don't know the first thing about these guys but none of what you say would lead me to conclude that P.O.D. is "of the world". As far as I understand the meaning of "the world" as used by Scripture it is always used to define a people who are actively opposed to the will of God. They are lost to sin and have no desire to know the true living God.

What matters is that when the members of P.O.D. put themselves in the company of people like Marylin Manson and Howard Stern, they maintain a strong defense of the faith and and use the oppurtunity to glorify Christ. That is the difference between being in the world and of the world.

Could you please provide evidence that P.O.D. is "of the world"? I'm not saying I disagree with you, I'd just like to have a little more to go on than what you've stated so far. Truth be told I would take the chance to appear on Howard Stern in an instant. Wouldn't you?

You see this is exactly the attitude I can't stand. Why don't you just tell me what sin these guys are engaged in? How complicated is that? If you are so eager to issue moral condemnation against others, the least you could do is dispense with the vague generalities and level some specific accusations of sin.

I seriously wonder what good people like you and Aaron and Su Wei can possibly think you accomplish here. Do you all fancy yourselves message board warriors of the faith? Have you been called to come to a forum titled "music ministry" and denounce certain musical styles as sinful? I would imagine if such is the case your primary motivation would be to see others saved from the bondage of sin associated with rock 'n roll, and whatever other music you disapprove of.So if that is the case, why don't you show a little spine, a little conviction and show us where the sin is already.Or are you determined to render all of your efforts impotent and thoroughly ineffective? Kinda makes you wonder just how much of a calling God has for message board warriors huh?

 

Are you kidding, this is a great website! A piece of warning though. This site is not for the "Burger King" Christian.

 

You are right Homebound. To enjoy that site you really have to be a strong fundamental independent, KJV believing Christian b/c it sure dont tickle the ears.
