There are some historical events that are out of sorts here, but I'm flat out of time. Tomorrow, perhaps, I'll get into them. But let me hasten to argue that it is not the deregulation environment that caused the Great Depression, and it was not the regulatory actions of govt that saved the economy from it. Modest govt funding, subsidy, and public works are credited by many economists as saving the economy. Were they right? Tomorrow, let's talk about that. Good night all!

How can the 5th largest bank of its class lose 95% of its value in 2 days unless there is lying and stealing going on?

Say my house was being repo'd and the government loaned my neighbor $500,000 for the purpose of buying by house out from under me . . . same thing?
