Pastor Found Dead

Im very sorry to hear this, I will say a prayer for his family and church.

 

He died at the post, praying for the church and his family.

 

This will be terribly hard for his family and his church. I'm praying.

I hope it was a natural death. If so, there can not be a much better way to go than while studying God's word. I know of a few who have died while in the stand preaching.

Sad time for the church, family, and friends. Happiest time ever for the pastor.

 

Hate to hear it. I will lift the family in prayer.

Bro. Gary had been at Thorington Road Baptist since 1991. The church had relocated several years ago under his tenure...so in many ways it will be like losing a founding pastor.

I talked with a church member last night. Of course, they're devastated, and they appreciate your prayers.

I am so sorry to hear such tragic news! I will pray for his family, as well as for the church. I heard of a man in our neck of the woods, Oliver Scalf, dying while preaching. He died while he was on the Mountain. I heard the other day that a man was preaching at a wake, or funeral, can't remember which. He quit preaching, set down, and five minutes later, he fell over dead! Looks like he was ready to go. It's a shame to hear of anyone's passing, but if they were ready, at least they have a better feeling than those families who have a loved one die that wasn't ready.
