Pastor Peddling Across Country

    (Augusta County, Virginia-AP) -- A Baptist minister from
    California is on the home stretch of a cross-country bicycle
    trip, combining his passion for cycling and his passion for the
    Bible.
    In a stop in Virginia yesterday, the Reverend Randy Gardner
    said he hopes his three-thousand-mile trek will spread the word
    on the mission of the International Bible Society to provide the
    Bible for the 400 (m) million people who don't have any portion
    of the Bible in their mother tongue.
    I-B-S is currently translating the Bible into more than 50
    languages. Of nearly seven-thousand languages on Earth, the
    Society says more than four-thousand don't have even a portion of
    the Bible translated.

    Not to be the "Grammar Police" here, but it should be "pedaling," which means the act of pumping the pedals on a bicycle.

    "Peddling," on the other hand, is to sell something.

    Priase God for his efforts. Lets hope that his very worthy cause has many thousands of sponsorship dollars put towards it.

    Maybe he is "peddling" his wares. Doesn't the Bible say, "Come without purse and buy"? So, he is freely peddling copies of the Bible.
