Pastoral Counseling Methods/Theories?

    Pastors (or Christian counselors):

    What is your general approach to counseling? Do you have a theoretical framework/orientation that you use? Do you have limits on what kind of issues you will address in counseling? Do you refer?

    This can range from anyone being presented the gospel to someone dealing with a mental illness.

    I'm interested in your thoughts!

    What about an example---how would you approach someone who reports feeling depressed about work?
