I guess he's the only one that doesn't need the Bible to hear God's Word... :tear:

I find it comical that he says...
Under the definition of a "prophet", one miss = false prophet.

Pat Robertson is a disgrace to Christendom. He needs to keep his mouth shut.

It is very probable that another terrorist attack will take place soon. It usually takes about 5 years for al Qaeda to plan one, and it has been well over 5 years since 09/11.

It doesn't take God telling us - all we have to do is follow the news, the US foreign policies towards Israel, and the Quartet's Road Map from Hell to know that. Some of us have been saying that all along.

but LE, the difference is that 'God' told Pope Pat. And his track record (Pat's, not God's) is pretty poor.

I've found a new job for Pat, if he'll take it. He's qualified:[IMG]

If it wasn't for the U.S. foreign policy of sticking with Israel, then Israel would cease to exist.

I hope you don't have a problem with our foreign policy toward Israel, Lady Eagle. I think we should stick by it.

The Quartet's Road Map (quartet comprised of UN, US, EU, and Russia) does nothing to stand by Israel. I have a big problem with our foreign policy towards Israel and pray we don't stick by it - we've sold Israel out to the muslim terrorists (palestinian muslims). The land belongs to Israel and so does Jerusalem.

I assume you are talking about the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem?

That's a bunch of baloney sausage.

If you don't know how good the United States has been to Israel over the past decades, then you really need to study history more.

Sometimes, LE, I do sometimes wonder that if - very, very hypothetically speaking - Israel invaded the United States which side you would support.

This isn't about history or the past, but our present foreign policy (in the OP), under THIS president which is pushing Israel towards suicide (pulling out of Gaza, etc). Even Clinton wasn't this bad when it came to Israel.

And Israel will never invade the United States, so your attempt (some would say "slam" bordering on a personal attack meaning you are already losing the debate at this point) at making me look unpatriotic fails on a number of points which need to be saved for a different thread, not this one.

Israel should be working toward returning to its pre-Six Day War borders. It is the right, proper, and sound policy.

By the way, no personal attack was meant toward you. It's just that I think that some dispensationalists go overboard in their attitude toward Israel vis-a-vis the United States.

To further prove my point that GW Bush is no friend to Israel, tomorrow it will be announced that he is nominating a Muslim to be the US Ambassador to the UN. Pat Robertson is right on about US policy helping Israel to commit suicide. This president has done more to further the cause of islam than any President in US History.

I applaud this upcoming nomination by President Bush.

The disdain expressed toward Muslims in public service in the United States that is sometimes exhibited on this board is a disgrace to Christianity. :tear:

I hope your tears are being shed for your brothers and sisters in Christ who are being tortured and murdered at the hands of muslims all over the world this very minute.

So, Ken, now that you made your little dig, let's get back to the discussion:

When there is a US vote in the UN towards for or against Israel, which way do you think this man will vote?

Will he vote to benefit the US, the nation he represents, or will he vote his conscience as dictated by the quran?

==Like you, I dislike President Bush's policy towards Israel. In short Bush is asking Israel to do what America would/should never do (ie...sit back and take it). I also dislike what appears to be President Bush's plan to increase the number of US troops in Iraq. I am tired of our troops dying for those people, they are not worth one more American life. I have switched my view, over several months, and I am now supporting a complete and total pull out of Iraq (maybe leaving some troops to help protect the Kerds). Sadly the result will be a bloodbath between the Sunnis and Shiites. I am to the point where I think there is no way to avoid that. Bush made a massive mistake by invading Iraq, and his post-Saddam plan was a complete disaster. Bush's Iraq policy has made Israel and the United States less safe, Saddam could have been contained.

==I will not give Robertson credit for anything. If he says the sky is blue I will have to go outside and look for myself. The man has discredited himself so many times it is no longer even funny. He should be ashamed of himself. Since Robertson is a false prophet, he is just as bad as Ted Haggard. Why do I say Robertson "IS" a false prophet? Well how many times has he said "God told me..." and then the event he was "told" about never happened? I can think of at least two off the top of my head and, as one person has already said, one strike and your out in this game.

==I don't know anything about the guy Bush is nominating to the United Nations. Simply because he is a Muslim does not mean he is not qualified to work in our government (Article VI of the US Constitution). However if his views on Israel are the "typical" Muslim views then, yes, there is a problem. Most likely, however, he will push Bush's agenda which is the same agenda Bolton pushed. So nothing changes.

He will vote as he is directed to vote by President George W. Bush, at whose pleasure he serves.
