Pelosi: Amend the First Amendment

(CNSNews.com) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday endorsed a movement announced by other congressional Democrats on Wednesday to ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Congress to regulate political speech when it is engaged in by corporations as opposed to individuals...

...Pelosi said the Democrats' effort to amend the Constitution is part of a three-pronged strategy that also includes promoting the DISCLOSE Act, which would increase disclosure requirements for organizations running political ads, and “reducing the role of money in campaigns” (which some Democrats have said can be done through taxpayer funding of campaigns).

(CNSNews.com) – David Bossie, founder of the conservative group Citizens United, said that people advocating to overturn the landmark Supreme Court case – Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission -- were a “posse of radicals” trying to repeal the First Amendment.

“So that’s why I say they’re a posse of radicals who are looking for a problem rather than a dedicated group of people who are analyzing something seriously and trying to find a way forward,” Bossie said in an exclusive interview with CNSNews.com on Wednesday.

Bossie made the remarks outside a Capitol Hill conference of liberal groups and Democratic legislators advocating for a constitutional amendment that would in effect overturn the Citizens United decision, on the grounds that the high court’s ruling in Citizens United’s favor will eventually lead to massive corporate spending in political campaigns.

Evil people with evil hearts vote in evil people with evil hearts and get what they deserve. The bible says it is reaping what we sow. The question is are we going to follow in her steps and vote in another evil administration that we think is less evil then the one we now have or keep the one we have now?

Amend or rescind the First (Prima Facie:The Most Important and therefore all others following behind it are suspect) Amendment?

Which is it?

Soon we will all have the right to SHUT UP and make bricks without straw and then be taxed for making the bricks as well (aka:The Cap and Trade Tax).

Wake up America - Nero is fidlin'.

Four more years?

"Corporations as opposed to individuals"? How about unions also, "as opposed to individuals?"

When you single out any particular group -- corporations, unions, whites, blacks, whatever -- and tell them that simply because of their particular group, they don't have protections under the Constitution that everyone else does -- well, I'm not a constitutional law professor like Obama is, but I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding of the constitution.

I know they're trying to limit corporations being able to have a political viewpoint, because corporations will typically back the candidate that's friendlier to business (and that ain't the Democrats); but trying to justify it as corporations have an unfair advantage because they have money...well, we might as well say that whites (or blacks, or whatever group you want to use as an example) shouldn't be allowed to contribute to political causes because they're a majority and have an unfair advantage over the minority(ies).

Next for what? It is already illegal for a 501c3 to support a political candidate.

"Hate Crimes" so-called.

This is the first olive out of the bottle. It will trickle down to the individual.

In fact, it already has, 50 million have been silenced from their mother's womb.
