    The controversy over the Pentagon decision to award a $35bn refuelling tanker contract to EADS spilled into the presidential race yesterday, when a senior Democrat suggested that John McCain, the Republican nominee, was responsible for the deal being "outsourced" to a European company.
    Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic House speaker, said Boeing had been on course to supply the US Air Force with tankers until Mr McCain "intervened".

    I've never heard of FT.com, but am I really supposed to accept them as credible journalist when they can't even spell "defense" correctly?:laugh:

    It is a British publication and that is the British variant of our spelling of "defense". So you learned something today.

    Boeing plain screwed up.

    Boeing has been going down hill ever since they bought McDonald-Douglass and moved to Chicago.

    good thing about politics is that there are plenty of fingers to point. It's amazing anyone has the fortitude to start pointing out anyone else's faults for fear of what will come back at them.
