Would you agree with me that Adam the day he ate the fruit became,
dead in trespasses and sins? That is he that day did not totally die but became subject to, dying thou shall surely die.

Did that mean on the day he breathed his list he would be totally dead?

I believe Adam and Eve spiritually died the very day they sinned, but fellowship was restored when they trusted God's promise. This is why God killed an innocent animal and covered them with skins, a figure of Christ.

Physical death came about by the curse. I agree with DHK that this set in place the 2nd law of thermodynamics, all things going from order to chaos, corruption and decay...

Paul is speaking of spiritual death in Romans 5, not physical. This is obvious by the legal terms used, he speaks of judgment and condemnation, and the free gift of justification unto life.

These are legal terms describing our spiritual relationship with God, Paul is not discussing physical death.
