    Although I felt the Phantom's voice was a bit weak at points and not up to the music, overall, I thought it was wonderful. I give it a [​IMG] .

    One thing I enjoyed about this movie was that it was done on the old West Side Story format as if we were watching a movie, and not just a stage performance of the show on Broadway or in London as we saw with Weber's "Cats" Video.

    The only "PHantom of the Opera" I've seen, is the 1920s version with Lon Chaney. I read the reviews of the other versions, and I feel that the original is the best. [​IMG]

    The Phantom didn't fit right. I missed Michael Crawford, or even my main man Colm Wilkonson. But I did love Emmy Rossum's acting though.

    I would like to see it in theatre, but might understand the movie better.

    I think the movie pretty much follows the stage play fairly accurately.

    I haven't seen it yet, but I'm partial to Michael Crawford. Colm Wilkinson is an awesome actor and singer. I haven't seen him in Phantom of the Opera. I might see this one just to compare the actors. I love the music.

    My 9 year old boy wants to see this. I don't know why. I do take him to see some of the shows done by our local performing arts group (such as Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast). It seems to me, after reading reviews on the internet, that this would be too adult for him. Do you agree?

    There is some mild violence, one or two words, and one scene where a drunk stage hand moons the prima donna Carlotta during the rehearsal and you see his rear for about a second. Overall, I probably would not reccomend this movie for kids. It probably is a bit adult for a 9 year old, IMO.
