Ph 4:19 in the KJV states "...but my God shall supply all your need"
The word "need" is also used in the Amplified, ESV, Revised, Gods Word and NKJV

Ph 4:19 in the Living NT states "...but my God shall supply all your needs"
needs is also used in NASB, NIV, New American Bible, and HCSB.

A missionary who visited our chruch years ago - said that (from the KJV)
that God will provide ONE need at a time - He may not provide everything at once.

So if this missionary was correct - are these other versions wrong by adding the "s" to "need"?

    What say you?

Another demonstration why one should use a modern translation, it reduces the chance of making silly interpretations.

The word is singular in the Greek so technically it may be translation as “need”.

In earlier times, the word “need” included all necessities that one lacked.
As our English language progressed the word became pluralized.

It is not a translational error, merely a development of our language.

So do you agree with that missionary - "one need at a time"

    From Blue Bible

    No that’s silly!

ALL your needS, not all of one need and then all of another need.

Seems like God met a lot of needs to the early church in Acts
