Phillies Tie the Mets

    The Mets lost earlier tonight and the Phillies beat Atlanta, so now the two are tied for the lead with 3 games left apiece. The Phillies definitely have the momentum and will be at home against the Nationals. The Phillies really got on the Mets trail when they swept them several weeks ago to cut the Mets lead to two games. But Philly stalled thereafter and quickly dropped six games behind. I can't believe they've been able to come back to tie with the Mets. Then again, as a famous Philly once said "You gotta believe!" GO PHILLIES!!!

    One new york team in the playoffs is enough. I hope the Phillies win.

    I have been a Mets fan for almost forty years, so this is a rough time. But I still think the Mets will pull it out when it is all done and told. "Ya Gotta Believe"

    All I know is the Braves aren't in the Postseason, and that's a good thing for real baseball :thumbs:

    Just be glad you other NL teams will not have to worry about the Reds' bullpen in the playoffs! :laugh:

    (Yes, I'm miffed that Kyle Lohse is helping the Phillies on their run. Couldn't pitch a tent in Cincinnati).

    Looks like the Mets are looking up from second place for the first time since mid May. Monumental choke...

    It was a tough lose, their pitching has just collapsed. But it's not over till over. I am keeping up the hope. :thumbs:

    Well, I guess we're tied now. It was fun while it lasted even if it was less than 24 hours. Sunday's game will decide the outcome.
