I agree on the diakonos and doulos, to a degree.
I am fairly comfortable with either propitiation or expiation for hilasterion.
I do not believe that MacArthur's new edition will change anything in that debate, at all.
And as to the "one size fits all Bibles", you have somehow managed to overlook the three main versions in this - namely the KJV, NIV, and D/R, based on numbers alone. No other versions have even come close to those first two, historically, among English versions, with the possible exception of the D/R, which surely is at least in third place, from what I understand, at least. How much any of them actually get read and used is another matter, entirely.
