Ok!!! I need help raying: Please read below and assist me.

I was speaking to a person who was giving me his theory on the fall of Satan. Stating that Satan used to reing over the planets because in Ezequiel 28:16 if you read it states that Jehovah expelled him from the fiery stones. ALSO PLEASE READ BELOW!!!!

14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.

15 You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.

16 Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, O guardian cherub,
from among the fiery stones.


ALSO STATING THAT BELOW IN JEREMIAH IS STATES THAT BEFORE MAN THE EARTH LAID FORMLESS AND VOID AND THIS IS BECAUSE WHEN SATAN FELL IT DESTROYED MANY PLANETS INCLUDING EARTH.

DESTROYING CITIES CREATED ON EARTH BEFORE THERE WERE EVEN ADAMS. Jeremiah 4:23-2:

I looked on the earth, and
beheld it formless (laid waste) and void;
and to the heavens, and they had no light.
I looked on the mountains,
and, behold, they quaked.
And all the hills were shaken.
I beheld and lo, there was no man (Adams);
and all the cover of the skies had fled.
I looked, and, behold, the fruitful place
was a wilderness; and all its cities
were broken down before the face of Jehovah,
before his glowing anger. For so Jehovah has said.
The whole land shall be a desolation;
yet I will not make a full end.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!! HE WANTED ME TO ANSWER HIM WHAT MY THOUGHTS WERE ON THIS?????? YOU ALL HAVE BEEN IN CHURCH LONGER THEN ME..

TaliO, Without all the verbiage, just ask a simple question. I, for one, don't know what you are asking.

Scripture does not reflect the ideology your friend is rambling about.

He could be mormon or even a gap theorist. But to equate the condition of the earth during the creative process of God to Satans reign over planets is pure conjecture. His use of scripture doesnt meet the context of those passages. In other words his conjecture is not in view in those passages. The meaning of a verse is determined by the context of the passage as a whole.

The earth laying formless and void does not indicate destruction but does indicate original creation. Your friend adds to scripture. The truth is he has not made his point. tell him to go back to the drawing board and come back with something more substantial.

#1. Planets are never called "fiery stones" in the Bible.
#2. IN Heb 1 we are told that Christ made "The WORLDS" -- not "The fiery stones".

#3. Jeremiah's prophecy in Jer 4 is about the FUTURE not the past.

#4. IN Genesis 1-2:4 we see the "Account" of the CREATION of the Earth. No Earth exists BEFORE it (though that is not to say that other galaxies, solar systems, planets did not exist or that Angels did not exist).

#5. In 2Peter 3 we are told that the earth was Created and then destroyed by a flood. It does not say "Destroyed the 2nd time by a flood".

#6. There is NO account of God making ANY LIFE on earth prior to Gen 1!!
