Freddie (a woman) is a good friend of my mother's. Our families all grew up together in the 60's and 70's. Freddie lost her first husband when all of us kids were in our older teens.

She re-married a Christian widower about 15 years later. I also grew up with the children of this man, too. They lived together wonderfully for a long time.

Recently he (T.) has developed Alzheimer's. You know what they say, Alzheimer's patients and regular dementia patients will develop into one of three personalities: morose/depressed, childlike/happy, or mean/angry.

    T. is mean. He and Freddie argue a lot. She KNOWS to just let it go, because he isn't going to change, unfortunately. But it's so hard for her. He never shuts up and never stops with paranoid accusations against her, his family, her family, our church family, the preacher, and more.

    It's driving her mad.

Two weeks ago, she began to have chest pains and told him that she had to leave to go to the hospital and he pinned her in their room and wouldn't let her go. She had to call 911 to come and get her and yes, she did have a heart attack.

I just got off the phone with her and in my opinion she will not get any relief until SHE can manage to cope. There's nothing that can be done for T., but Freddie needs intercessory prayers for coping skills. I believe she needs help and T.'s son DOES try to help Freddie and Freddie's own children see T. more and accept his prognosis better than his own. They are tolerant of his wildness, but they don't have to live with it 24-7.

Please pray that Freddie will receive a Holy Spirit blessing of peace .... and an ability to ignore 90% of the rantings that he goes through each day.

It is hard in these situations, but not impossible with God's strength we can do ALL things!
