As I type this there are 103,006 posts in the Baptist Theology and Bible Study Forum.

And there are 101,140 posts in the Politics Form.

At the rate that political posts are being registered (pardon the pun),when will the BTaBSF be overtaken?

Forget about the debates on Arminianism vs.Calvinism.Even Lou's anti-Lordship threads will have to take a backseat.There is more of a fascination for politics than I have seen for quite a while.

So what am I doing?Am I helping out the BTaBSF? No,I'm helping the General Baptist Discussion forum which is the king of forums here.It won't be overtaken with the number of posts anytime soon with its 123,084 posts as of this time.

It's a Presidential election year. Increased debate in the Politics Forum is to be expected. Things will return to "normal" in short order.

On a personal level I am sick of politics.

The extended primary just sucked all the will out of me to even talk politics.

As Christians, we should always be involved in the political process, as we should elect each and every President each and every election.

The Word will stay the same, but every election regardless if it be local, state, or national should have our attention as the candidates we chose should adhere to the unchanging Word of God.

Our nation is in a mess because we have failed in our efforts to assure candidates adhere to Gods Law first.

I would expect, with this years candidates added to this monumental election (both a black and a woman on the tickets), the politics forum to increase almost exponentially until shortly after the election. Then it will decrease dramatically, I believe.

I don't know exactly when it happened -- but as of now :

Baptist Theology and Bible Study Forum posts = 103,414

Politics -------------------------------------- 103,796

BT&BS has fallen 382 posts behind! I will endeavor to rectify the situation posthaste (just kidding).But we need to attend to this severe deficit!

One suggestion; politics is an evolving process.

There is no way Jesus and His disciples could have discussed politics (maybe they did, but just no written record??) under a Roman dictatorship that would have had any bearing on a republic form of government like ours.
